The Flux by Kate Fox

Saturday 10th August 2024
The Council Chamber, Civic Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8QH

The Flux explores shifting identities in the work of the neuroqueer imaginary.

Doctors from Doctor Who, Brontes and various other time travellers guide us through a poetic, funny, spoken word journey into what a neurodivergent-affirming world can look like. As Torchwood is to Doctor Who, this twenty minute performance is a spin off from Kate’s best selling Dr Who and neurodiversity show “Bigger on the Inside”, also touring venues and literature festivals this year.

Kate Fox is a stand up poet, spoken word artist and broadcaster. She is a regular contributor to Radio 3’s spoken word cabaret “The Verb”, has made two comedy series for Radio 4, been Poet in Residence for the Glastonbury Festival and the Great North Run and completed a PhD in stand up comedy!

Kate is also the author of sellout show “Where There’s Muck There’s Bras: True Stories of the North of England’s Women” published by Harper North, and various poetry collections.
