Northern Print: Seeing Seahorses

Join Northern Print to learn a new skill, use specialist printing presses and create your own unique artwork. We’re celebrating the magnificent seahorses that adorn the top of the Civic Centre - a symbol of the city referencing our seafaring past. The seahorse appears on the city’s coat of arms and Newcastle United’s badge. Appearing as almost a mythical creature whilst also being a very real species under threat in our marine habitat. The short-snouted seahorse is native to the north-east coast.
