Join artists Cabinet of Curiosity Studio for a free creative workshop and help build a paper city inspired by Newcastle and mini paper dominoes!
About Reshaping the Toon
What would your Newcastle look like?
Get creative and help build a one-of-a-kind paper Newcastle! Craft mini buildings, make paper dominoes and add your own ideas, memories and future visions as together we transform paper into a city full of imagination. Drop in, get making and watch Newcastle grow one paper creation at a time.
At 1pm, join in with a paper domino run through a paper Newcastle!
Across NOVUM Summer Festival on 7 & 8 August Newcastle City Library visitors are invited to see the Reshaping the Toon Mini Paper City installation in the Atrium, which is the culmination of a co-created creative project, between NOVUM Summer Festival, Cabinet of Curiosity and Newcastle community groups.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- A free, hands-on workshop where you can help build a giant paper Newcastle.
- Create mini buildings, paper dominoes and add your own ideas, memories and future dreams for the city.
- Work alongside artists from Cabinet of Curiosity Studio in a relaxed, indoor creative environment.
- At 1pm there will be a mini paper Domino run through the paper version of Newcastle.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Free drop-in workshop.
- Stay for five minutes or the whole session.
- Suitable for all ages.
- No crafting experience needed; just bring your imagination. Artists are there to help you!
- All materials are provided.
- The workshop takes place indoors at Newcastle City Library.
