About Family Glow Silent Disco
Three battling DJs. One seriously spectacular dancefloor. Endless bangers. From 90s throwbacks and 00s anthems to today’s biggest hits and kids’ party favourites, expect singalongs, dance-offs and full-on main character energy.
This isn’t your average silent disco. Boogie away inside Submergence by light artists Squidsoup – a breathtaking immersive installation made from thousands of glowing points of light that pulse, shimmer and swirl around you as you throw some shapes.
Throw on your brightest outfit, choose your DJ and party with the legendary Awesome Silent Discos – the team behind the sell-out silent discos at Newcastle Cathedral, St Edwards Bay and Cullercoats Bay. 💃🕺
The Civic Centre Café will be open throughout serving lunch time scran, treats and drinks.

WHAT TO EXPECT
- A 2 hour family silent disco inside the glowing world of light installation called Submergence.
- A lively party atmosphere with singing, dancing and big festival energy.
- Three live DJs playing different music channels – choose your soundtrack.
- 90s throwbacks, 00s anthems, today’s biggest hits and kids’ party favourites.
- Free face painting and a glitter bar.
- Wireless headphones provided.
- Ticketed Event:
- Adults (16+): £8.50
- Children: £3.50
- Family Ticket Bundle: 2 adults + 2 children: £20

GOOD TO KNOW
- Doors open at 11am, with the disco running until 1pm.
- The Banqueting Hall is wheelchair accessible with step-free access throughout.
- An accessible toilet is available.
- A member of the team will be in the Civic Centre foyer to welcome you and direct you to the Banqueting Hall.
- The Civic Centre Café will be open throughout, serving lunch, snacks and drinks.
