WILD - Motionhouse
Friday 9th - Sunday 11th August 2024
The Quadrangle, Newcastle Civic Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8QH
What is it to be wild?
Motionhouse presents its gravity-defying dance-circus production WILD, exploring humanity’s growing disconnect with the natural world and our impact on the environment.
Showcasing the powerful physicality distinctive to this trailblazing company, this daring show has been a major hit with audiences since its premiere in 2019.
WILD creates an urban forest in the everyday of the city. Celebrating nature and the environment, performers move through a forest of tall poles, which forms the striking set for WILD.
Watch the performers as they move animal-like through the dangerous world of the forest floor, taking refuge high in the canopy. In our modern lives, can the wild still shape human behaviour?
Suitable for all ages.
Free
