A PEOPLE’S PARTY OPENING THE CIVIC CENTRE

Top Tips for visitors

Food and Drink

The Civic Centre Bar will be open, serving alcoholic and soft drinks.

Opening hours are:

  • Friday 6pm - close

  • Saturday 12 midday - close

  • Sunday 12 midday - close

❗Challenge 25: Anyone who looks under 25 will be asked for ID before they can purchase alcohol.

❗The whole NOVUM site is a licensed venue, meaning any under 14s must be accompanied by an adult (over 18) at all times.

❗Please be aware food and drink cannot be brought into the Council Chamber at any time.

NOVUM is not bringing in any food vendors to the festival site. All around the Civic Centre and Gardens are fantastic food and drinks businesses - please support them over the festival weekend.

Prepare for the weather

All music performances in the Banquet Hall and Council Chamber are indoors and weatherproof!

If you are coming to see the MONUMENTAL CONSTRUCTION, sample the Stay and Play workshops on Saturday or to soak up the atmosphere and performances around the festival garden, please dress and be prepared for all weather conditions (maybe all at once).

NOVUM recommends you have comfortable shoes, a waterproof jacket and suncream. Take care of each other and stay hydrated!

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed inside the Civic Centre building, with the exception of Guide Dogs and other assistance dogs.

Outdoor activities may be noisy and crowded, so may not be a suitable environment for dogs. If you do bring your four-legged friend it is at your own risk and we recommend keeping them on the lead in and around Ceremonial Way and the Civic Centre Gardens.

Live Music in the Banquet Hall is open to anyone but most suitable for those age 14 and over. Performances may contain:

❗Flashing lights

❗Strong language

All under 14s must be accompanied by an adult at all times
